Privacy Notice for International Patients
How Oaks Dental Clinic (옥스치과의원) handles the information you send us when you request a consultation or appointment. Effective 2026-08-27 (draft pending clinic approval).
What we collect
- Contact details you enter in the form: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country of residence and preferred language
- Your treatment interest and planned travel dates
- Anything you choose to send us afterwards by email or messenger: symptoms, medical history, medications, allergies, X-rays, CT scans, photographs, previous treatment plans and insurance information
Why we use it
- To reply to your request and answer your questions
- To review your records before your visit and plan treatment around your stay
- To propose and confirm appointment dates
- To provide aftercare and online consultation after you return home
We do not use your information for marketing and do not sell it.
Messaging apps
If you contact us through WhatsApp, WeChat, LINE, KakaoTalk or Telegram, your messages also pass through those services under their own privacy terms. If you prefer not to send medical images through a messaging app, use email instead.
Medical records and retention
Once you become a patient, your treatment records form part of your medical record, which Korean law requires us to keep for 10 years. Consultation enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for the period required by law.

To ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask about your records, contact our international patient team at oaksdentalclinic@gmail.com or +82-2-555-6633. Requests concerning medical records are handled in accordance with Korean medical-records law.
Diagnosis
Any opinion given before your visit is a preliminary review based on the material you sent; a diagnosis is made only after examination at the clinic.
