Crowns and Bridges
A crown covers and protects a damaged tooth; a bridge replaces a missing tooth using the neighbouring teeth for support. With our in-house laboratory, porcelain crowns are generally possible within a 3–7 day stay and zirconia crowns within 1–2 weeks.

Who is this treatment for?
- Cracked, broken or heavily filled teeth
- Teeth that have had root canal treatment
- Worn or discoloured teeth
- A missing tooth where an implant is not chosen
- Large cavities that need an onlay rather than a filling
At Oaks Dental Clinic
Digital impressions are taken with an intraoral scanner, the restoration is designed with CAD/CAM software and milled in our in-house laboratory. Because nothing is sent to an outside lab, fabrication time is shorter and adjustments can be made while you are still in Seoul.
Metal-free ceramics
Crowns are made without metal, from ceramics or zirconia, so the colour can be matched to your natural teeth. All-ceramic crowns, veneers and inlays/onlays each suit different situations; the material is chosen for the tooth and your bite.
Inlays and onlays
When a cavity is too large for a filling but the tooth does not need a full crown, an inlay (inside the tooth) or an onlay (covering the cusps) is made in the laboratory and bonded to the tooth.
Visits and timing for visitors
Porcelain crowns are generally possible during a 3–7 day stay; zirconia crowns usually need 1–2 weeks. For cosmetic crowns we recommend allowing about 7 days. The number of visits depends on your diagnosis and is confirmed after examination.
The number of visits and treatment duration depend on your diagnosis. A personalized treatment plan will be provided after examination.
Before you travel
Send your panoramic x-ray, ct scan, photos of your teeth, existing treatment plan or medical records by email or WhatsApp. The preliminary review is free, and we reply with whether treatment is likely to be possible, the expected number of visits, an estimated cost range and available dates. A preliminary review is not a final diagnosis.
Costs
Your cost depends on the number of teeth, complexity, materials and laboratory work, and is confirmed in a written estimate (Korean won, VAT included) before treatment begins. How costs are decided →
Aftercare and warranty
Crowns are covered for 1 year. Onlays are covered — the period is stated in your written treatment plan. You leave with written aftercare instructions in English, and online consultation after you return home is always available. Aftercare and warranty →
