Dental Implants
Dental implants replace missing teeth with a titanium root and a crown that looks and works like a natural tooth. At Oaks Dental Clinic, implant treatment is planned on 3D CT, and in many cases the surgical stage can be completed during a 3–7 day stay in Seoul.

Who is this treatment for?
- One or more missing teeth
- Loose dentures and a wish for a fixed alternative
- Full-arch replacement when most teeth are missing
- A previous implant that needs revision
At Oaks Dental Clinic
Implant treatment is planned on a 3D CT scan so that bone volume, nerves and sinus position are known before surgery. Bone grafting and sinus lift procedures are available when the bone is not sufficient. Dr. Bae carries out the diagnosis, the placement and the final restoration himself, and the crown is made in our in-house laboratory. The implant brand is chosen with you and stated in your written treatment plan — the warranty period depends on the brand.
How implant treatment proceeds
Assessment of your jawbone and general condition on CT, then a treatment plan · Choice of implant system to suit your bone and the position of the tooth · Placement of the implant in the planned position · Healing while the implant bonds with the bone — usually 2–3 months in the lower jaw and 3–6 months in the upper jaw · Connection of the abutment · Fitting of the final crown once the implant is confirmed stable.
Magnification
Dr. Bae works with a dental operating microscope at magnifications of up to 25×, which makes it possible to see fine detail that does not show clearly on X-rays.
Implant systems
Systems used at the clinic include Straumann (Switzerland), Astra Tech by Dentsply Sirona (Sweden) and Osstem (Korea). There is no single implant that suits every situation; the system is chosen for your bone condition and stated in your written plan.
Visits and timing for visitors
The surgical stage is often possible during a 3–7 day visit. Implants need healing time before the final crown is fitted, so most patients return for a second visit; the exact schedule depends on your bone condition and whether grafting is needed. Implant patients need to come back for regular check-ups, which is also a condition of the implant warranty.
The number of visits and treatment duration depend on your diagnosis. A personalized treatment plan will be provided after examination.
Before you travel
Send your panoramic x-ray, ct scan, photos of your teeth, existing treatment plan or medical records by email or WhatsApp. The preliminary review is free, and we reply with whether treatment is likely to be possible, the expected number of visits, an estimated cost range and available dates. A preliminary review is not a final diagnosis.
Costs
Your cost depends on the number of teeth, complexity, materials and laboratory work, and is confirmed in a written estimate (Korean won, VAT included) before treatment begins. How costs are decided →
Aftercare and warranty
Implants are covered for 3–5 years depending on the brand, for patients who return for regular check-ups. You leave with written aftercare instructions in English, and online consultation after you return home is always available. Aftercare and warranty →
